PAST EVENTS
PARKHOUSE HILL AND CHROME HILL
A quick blast up what is affectionately known as Dragon's Back Ridge with resident spaniel, Juni to keep us company. Beautiful scenery and views, with an interesting ridgeline to follow.
YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS
Well known, the Yorkshire Three Peaks is a fantastic challenge hike of approximately 25 miles, taking in the three highest summits in Yorkshire: Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough.
SNOWDON - SOUTH RIDGE
A great alternative to the busier and more well-known routes up Snowdon, the South Ridge is much quieter and provides some fun scrambling options.
HELVELLYN
Summited as part of a two day hike. Day one was short and sharp, hiking up Birkhouse Moor and on to Red Tarn, our camp spot for the evening. The second day we summited Helvellyn via Striding Edge in cold, windy conditions, not made any easier by carrying heavy packs. Descended via Swirral Edge and back to Glenridding.
THE GREAT RIDGE - MAM TOR - KINDER
Starting in the village of Hope, we climbed Lose Hill to start our hike along The Great Ridge, a stuning location with magnificent views. Descending the ridge at Mam Tor, we headed across to Edale where we then began the ascent of Kinder Scout via Grindsbrook Clough. A challenging route for some of the party, but we pulled together to support each other, making it to the top for a well earned rest and to soak in the views. We descended via Grindslow Knoll, hiked back through Edale, through Castleton and through Hope Valley back to our cars. A long and challenging day out in the hills.
