A weekly woodland adventure — plus unforgettable holiday activity days available to tie on. "Summitstone Wild Ways" is a weekly, term-time outdoor survival programme for children aged 8–11, designed to build confidence, independence, and a real connection to the outdoors. Alongside the weekly sessions, children can also join us for standalone activity days during school holidays, giving them the chance to go deeper, try bigger challenges, and spend a full day immersed in the woods. This is more than childcare. It’s an adventure-community children become part of with weekly term-time sessions building skills gradually, so they feel confident and successful. Across the term, children will: Learn to safely light, manage, and cook on fires Prepare and cook a range of outdoor meals Build shelters, camp gadgets, and fire lays Develop age-appropriate knife and tool skills Take part in survival games, teamwork, and challenges Spend time around the fire reflecting and unwinding The term finishes with a special survival supper challenge and a certificate or badge to celebrate what they’ve achieved. Take part in an optional end of term overnight immersive survival camp!!
