Our Outdoor Survival Skills – 4-Week Course is a progressive, hands-on introduction to bushcraft and outdoor survival skills, delivered through weekly 2-hour sessions. This format allows skills to be learned gradually, practised properly, and built upon week by week — perfect for those who want deeper learning without committing to a full day. This course is not about extreme survival scenarios or pushing you to your limits. It’s about useful, realistic skills, time in nature, and discovering just how capable you really are — all guided by friendly, highly experienced outdoor professionals. How the 4-Week Course Works 📆 Duration: 4 weeks ⏱ Session length: 2 hours per week 👥 Group size: Small groups for personal tuition 📍 Location: Local countryside / woodland (confirmed on booking) Each session focuses on a specific skill set, with time to practise, ask questions, and build confidence before moving on. What You’ll Experience This fully guided, practical course focuses on real-world outdoor skills you can actually use. You’ll learn by doing, with progression and repetition built in. Typical Weekly Breakdown Week 1 – Foundations & Fire Outdoor awareness and safety Fire lighting using natural and modern methods Fire safety and environmental responsibility Week 2 – Shelter & Campcraft Shelter building with tarps and natural materials Site selection and weather considerations Introduction to campcraft systems Week 3 – Water & Navigation Water sourcing and simple purification techniques Navigation basics, awareness, and staying found Decision-making in outdoor environments Week 4 – Putting It Together Campcraft and tool safety Managing risk and building good judgement Practical scenarios to consolidate skills Next steps for hiking, wild camping, and further adventures The emphasis throughout is on practical outdoor competence, not unrealistic survival myths.
